Note on Calibration: This thermomete is a precision instrument. Severe shock or strains may affect accuracy. Should adjustment become necessary, proceed as follows: Immerse thermometer stem a minimum of two inches (5.08 cm) into a 50/50 ice and water slush bath (without touching the sides or bottom of container), until indicator stablizes. Holding dial with one hand, turn the nut until indicator reads 32°F (0°C) at sea level. Easy to Use: Place vessel clip on side of pan. Lower thermometer tip at least two inches (5.08 cm) into mixture. Keep stem off sides and bottom of pan.
