βœ… How Much to Use:

  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon per pound of meat is usually sufficient.

πŸ•’ How Long to Let It Sit:

  • 15 to 30 minutes is usually plenty.
  • Do NOT exceed 1 hour β€” bromelain can over-tenderize and turn meat mushy.
  • For thinner cuts like steaks or chicken breasts, 10–15 minutes is enough.
  • For thicker cuts (roasts), you can go up to 45 minutes, but monitor closely.

πŸ’‘ Tips:

  • Apply tenderizer evenly β€” sprinkle on both sides and rub in lightly.
  • You can also dissolve it in a small amount of water and use it as a marinade base.
  • Rinse meat before cooking if desired, especially if you used a lot of tenderizer.
